Home Safety Tips
Do you have a meeting
place? If not, now is the time to come up with
a meeting place. A meeting place is where your
family goes in the event of a fire in your house.
A great place for a meeting place is the end of your
driveway or your mailbox.

Seasonal Safety Tips
Wood Stove Safety Tips
from Bungay Fire.
-
Always have your
chimney cleaned each year.
-
Burn
only seasoned hardwood - not trash, cardboard
boxes, or Christmas trees because these items
burn unevenly, may contain toxins, and increase
the risk of uncontrolled fires.
-
Keep
all persons, pets and flammable objects,
including kindling, bedding, clothing, at least
three feet away from fireplaces and wood
stoves.
-
Install Smoke and CO Detectors on each level of
your home.
Wild Fire Safety
Never
burn during High Fire Danger. Always get a
permit prior to burn. Outdoor burning may
only be done between the hours of 10am and 5pm (the
fire MUST be out at 5pm)
