12/14/2011    New Ems bags in the Service.

We took the knapsack type bag that was in the rescue and put it in Service 177. This bag can easily be thrown over a shoulder and taken out on the boat or as a secondary bag when the Ranger goes out for searches.

In addition we now have a separate oxygen bag with all airway equipment located in that bag. (O2, masks, cannulae, OPA, NPA, BVM). There are two arrows drawn on the bag where the regulator is located so the whole bag doesn't have to be opened. Also be sure to store this bag with those arrows pointing up so the tank is not upside down.

Medical bag and 02 bag are now independent of each other

Arrows point to the regulator access

Airways (oral and nasal) and BVM located above regulator

Masks, cannulas and suction

11/2011    New ems bag in the rescue R-177

This bag replaced the knapsack style bag. We were finding the other bag didn't have the room we need.

All of the equipment necessary to perform a patient assesment is located in the side pocket marked with a #1

Pulse/0x, pedi and adult BP cuffs and Glucometer are located in the back pockets of this section

Please take a few minutes the next time you are near the station and go over the rest of the contents in the bag. Even if you are not medically certified, you can help those treating the patients by knowing this equipment
